Model Strengths:
Performance; attractive interior; available performance and technology options.
Model Changes:
A redesigned Infiniti G coupe makes its debut for 2008, offering a new look and more power in the way of a 330-horsepower, 3.7L V6. New performance-oriented equipment takes advantage of the power, and the interior now has some improved convenience and entertainment features. To keep pace with its increased displacement, the G35 coupe (as it was formerly named) has appropriately been renamed the G37.The G35 sedan is carried over from a thorough redesign for 2007, which brought a more powerful version of its 3.5L V6, a new all-wheel-drive version called the G35x, and a greatly improved interior, among many other changes. For 2008, the G35 sedan gets a new Sport Package and an 18-inch tire and wheel option for the G35x. Optional Technology and Navigation packages have been revamped, an iPod interface is available, and XM satellite radio is now standard.
Model Value:
Infiniti's 2008 G35 sedan and G37 coupe are quite different in appearance yet have a similar, sharp-edged character that lends priority to performance over comfort. That's not to say that their interiors aren't well-appointed; both models come with great seats, an elegant interior with nice materials, and very impressive audio systems. Both G models stand out for offering overall performance near the top of its class, when compared with other V6 sport sedans and coupes in its price range. The new coupe manages to step up its performance capabilities without reducing driver comfort, with a rear limited-slip differential, 4-Wheel Active Steer system, and Sport Brakes on the options list.
Model Overview:
The Infiniti G35 sedan and G37 coupe have similar styling and mechanical underpinnings for 2008, but there are some important differences between the two. The sedan includes a 306-horsepower, 3.5L V6, while the coupe gets a new 330-horsepower, 3.7L version with hydraulically controlled variable valve timing. In both the coupe and sedan, buyers can choose from a six-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.A feature uniquely available on the coupe is the 4-Wheel Active Steer (4WAS) system, which adjusts the steering gear ratio and rear suspension geometry depending on vehicle speed and steering input to improve handling. There's also a rear viscous-slip differential available. The interior of the coupe has electroluminescent instrument lighting, a standard seven-inch in-dash monitor, and leather seating in Wheat, Graphite, or Stone tones. There are also several distinctive options to dress up the interior of the coupe, including "Washi" paper trim and African Rosewood trim. Both the coupe and sedan are available in Base, Journey, and Sport models. Journey models add several key interior conveniences, such as automatic climate control, power seats, and a six-disc in-dash changer, while the Sport model brings performance equipment including 19-inch wheels (18-inch on the sedan), a sport-tuned suspension, the limited-slip differential, and aluminum pedals. A Sport Package is also available on the Journey, including many of the features of the Sport model. Noteworthy options include an Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) with bi-xenon lamps, to help illuminate into dark corners, a rearview monitor, intelligent cruise control with preview braking, a touch-screen navigation system with real-time traffic function, a Bluetooth hands-free interface, and a "Studio on Wheels" audio system, with subwoofers and a 9.3-gigabyte hard-drive.

| Infiniti Lease - Infiniti G37 Lease: KBB Overview
The 2008 Infiniti G37 lease Coupe is the follow-up to the car that put lease Nissan's luxury brand on the map---in the division's 18th model year. Rival coupes from Audi lease and Lexus lease are on the horizon, but until then the G Coupe will continue to compete in a two-car sub-category with the BMW lease 3 Series Coupe. While the faster, better-handling second-generation G Coupe doesn't deliver the famously nuanced driving dynamics of the 3 Series, it's fun, stylish and comfortable nonetheless, and enjoys a notable price advantage.
Infiniti Lease - Infiniti G37 Lease: What's New for 2008
The all-new, second-generation Infiniti lease G Coupe is distinguished by more curvaceous, more muscular sheetmetal, a more refined interior and increased performance spearheaded by a stiffened platform and a bigger, more sophisticated new 3.7-liter V6 engine good for 330 horsepower.
Infiniti Lease - Infiniti G37 Lease: Driving Impressions
If you've developed an appreciation for the subtleties in response, feedback and behavior that have traditionally distinguished performance-oriented European cars from the rest of the world's, you'll enjoy the 2008 Infiniti G37 lease ---just not as much as you'd enjoy the iconic BMW lease 335i. Regardless of your affinities, there's a good chance that back-to-back drives would leave you questioning the BMW's price premium that can stretch toward $10,000. Performance-focused drivers hoping for a more sophisticated, premium-badged Nissan Z will find satisfaction in the lease Infiniti's 330-horsepower V6 and eager, tenacious handling. Drivers looking for a sporty looking but comfortable coupe will appreciate the refined accommodations and pleasant highway ride. We liked both the six-speed manual transmission and the sport-oriented five-speed automatic with downshift rev matching, and both steering and brake feel were similarly satisfying.
Infiniti Lease - Infiniti G37 Lease: Favorite Features
Attractive Display
The touch-screen LCD display found in every G37 lease features an intuitive, visually appealing interface and serves as the control center for optional features like the best iPod integration we've used, a navigation system with real-time traffic info, rearview monitor, 9.3-gigabyte music hard drive and a CompactFlash card reader for music.
Intelligent Cruise Control
The lease G37's available Intelligent Cruise Control system will detect a slower-moving vehicle ahead and reduce speed accordingly. It can also identify sudden braking ahead and prepare the brakes for a panic stop.
Infiniti Lease - Infiniti G37 Lease: Interior
While you can't argue with the new model's increased performance or even sexier sheetmetal, our "most improved" vote goes to the passenger cabin. The seven-inch LCD screen included on all models radiates colorful and attractive graphics that further enhance the new model's more contemporary vibe. We also like the visually soft aluminum alloy trim (inspired by Japanese washi paper, Infiniti says), as well as the optional African rosewood trim. Except for limited headroom, the rear seats are more accommodating than might be apparent. Sport models include a unique 14-way adjustable driver's seat with thigh extensions and power-adjustable bolsters.
Infiniti Lease - Infiniti G37 Lease: Exterior
In following up the wildly successful first-generation G Coupe, lease Infiniti's designers did an admirable job of delivering a design that's both wholly familiar and decidedly fresh. Shapelier, more defined sheet metal is adorned with standard-issue High Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-xenon headlights, LED taillights, two big exhaust outlets and 18-inch wheels. Available 19-inch wheels are also included on the Sport and Sport Package-equipped models that also feature a more aggressive front fascia and side sills and an optional rear spoiler.
Infiniti Lease - Infiniti G37 Lease: Notable Standard Equipment Notable Optional Equipment
At base price, the Infiniti G37 lease Coupe includes Infiniti lease Intelligent Key remote-sensing unlock and start, a seven-inch LCD monitor, High Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-xenon headlights, leather seating, 18-inch wheels and a six-speaker sound system with MP3-compatible CD player, XM satellite radio and auxiliary audio input. A long list of standard safety equipment includes front, side and two-row side curtain airbags, stability and traction control and an advanced braking system. The 2008 Infiniti G37 lease Coupe offers a long list of desirable options, highlights of which include Intelligent Cruise Control, adaptive headlights, Bluetooth hands-free cell phone connectivity, Infiniti Interface System for iPod, four-wheel active steering with variable steering ratio, comprehensive 11-speaker premium audio system and a hard drive-based, touch-screen navigation system with real-time traffic info, 9.3-gigabyte digital music storage and more. Sport models are distinguished by 19-inch wheels, a limited-slip differential, more aggressive suspension, bigger brakes, sport seats, paddle shifters (automatic only) and a sportier front fascia and side sills.
Infiniti Lease - Infiniti G37 Lease: Under the Hood
The beating, spinning heart of the second-generation G37 lease Coupe is the most powerful iteration yet of the ever-evolving, world-renowned V6 that motivates several Nissan lease and Infiniti lease vehicles. In addition to a size increase, the new VQ engine incorporates variable valve control, resulting in an impressive power increase as well as an improvement in fuel economy versus both the current G35 lease sedan and the first-generation coupe.
