Jaguar XF 2009 Video Introduction

Online Videos by Veoh.com
2009 Jaguar XF Model Strengths:

Performance; stunning interior appointments, and a wide range of quality materials.

2009 Jaguar XF Model Changes:

The all-new XF replaces the S-Type in Jaguar's 2009 lineup and takes a dramatic new design direction with a sportier focus.

2009 Jaguar XF Model Value:

Jaguar's 2009 XF, with its sleek, coupe-like shape, sport-sedan performance, and stunning interior, competes very well with models such as the BMW 5-Series, Lexus GS 460, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. It also boasts higher-grade materials such as those available in more exclusive vehicles. And like other Jaguar models, the new XF also promises a uniquely British personality compared to other luxury cars.

2009 Jaguar XF Model Overview:

North American Jaguar XF models will get either a 300-horsepower, 4.2L V8 for 2009, or a supercharged 4.2L V8 worth 420 horsepower. With either engine, the XF has rapid acceleration on par with some of the fastest German sports sedans. According to Jaguar, the standard XF can accelerate to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds while the supercharged model can do it in just 5.1 seconds. The XF's gear selector uses a unique rotary design that Jaguar claims is intuitive and also saves interior space; it includes a Sequential Shift System, which enables the driver to command gear shifts of the six-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddles. With the best torsional stiffness in its class, according to Jaguar, the XF is able to offer impressive handling and performance while also allowing a smooth and well-controlled ride. Variable ratio power-assisted steering offers reduced effort while parking plus better control at high speed. The interior departs from the typical luxury-car mold with a new design direction. As with other Jaguar models, the XF has high-grade materials-including supple leathers and a striking matte-metallic finish. The XF also has a choice of real wood veneers, including Satin American Walnut, Burl Walnut, or Rich Oak, with aluminum highlights. Air conditioning vents are completely flush with the dashboard until the ignition is switched on, when they rotate to an open position, overhead console lamps operate through a special touch- or proximity-sensing system, and the interior is bathed in cool blue lighting at night. There are various storage compartments inside, and front cup holders are large enough for a 44-ounce beverage cup.The available top-of-the-range, 440-watt Bowers & Wilkins Premium Sound System has been specifically designed for the XF's cabin; it has surround sound processing, 14 speakers, a remote amplifier, and Kevlar speaker cones. The XF's audio systems are fully compatible with portable audio players or USB memory sticks. An extensive list of electronic driving aids is offered on the XF, including anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution and cornering brake control. The electronic stability control system includes Understeer Control Logic, which decelerates the car and helps restore grip in extreme maneuvers or in the loss of traction. The XF's dynamic stability control system offers two different modes, including a "Trac DSC" mode that allows more slip before intervening, for more enthusiastic driving. XF models also offer a winter driving mode.Available high-tech features on the XF include front and rear parking aids, a blind-spot monitor, adaptive cruise control, and voice-activated controls for the navigation system and hands-free calling interface.

Jaguar XK Model Lease -- Model Strengths:

Great performance; standard navigation system; Jaguar luxury and cachet.

Jaguar XK Model Changes for the Jaguar XK:

The superb Jaguar XK was redesigned for 2007 and undergoes few changes for 2008. Base prices for the Jaguar coupe and convertible are unchanged. On the Jaguar XKRs, a new Portfolio Package is available in either aluminum or walnut themes and include, among other goodies, 20-inch staggered-width wheels and tires with a new high-performance braking system, a 525-watt sound system with Bowers & Wilkins speakers, Sirius satellite radio, soft grain leather seating, and aluminum side vents.

Jaguar XK Model Value:

Jaguar premiered this generation of the XK in 2007 with fresh styling and more powerful engines. Jaguar's traditional attention to luxury is present, with lots of leather, standard navigation, and a quiet ride, even in convertible form. The Jaguar 2008 XKs are handsome vehicles, with styling reminiscent of Aston Martin, but with a base sticker price almost half that of the DB9.

Jaguar XK Model Overview:

Constructed mostly of aluminum, the 2008 Jaguar XK is significantly stiffer than prior generations. This Jaguar's 4.2L V8 engine is refined and powerful, and is mated to a six-speed sequential transmission with steering wheel paddle shifters. Underneath, the eCATS system actively adjusts the suspension to keep the ride smooth yet sporty. Traction control and dynamic stability control are standard, and the roomy interior is even stocked with a standard DVD-based navigation system. The four-model lineup includes the normally-aspirated V8 Jaguar XK coupe and convertible (with 300 horsepower) and their rakish alter egos, the supercharged XKRs (420 horsepower).Jaguar aimed for a thoroughbred sports car with the XK and succeeded. The chassis has many aluminum components, helping the convertibles remain stiff enough to handle as respectable sports cars. The transmission, with three settings, can be luxury smooth or razor sharp depending on the driver's mood. Luxury is Jaguar's signature, and both XK and XKR come well-appointed and offer several customization options. On the XK, plenty of leather, aluminum, and two choices of interior wood trim make for a classy interior. Opt for the Aluminum Luxury package and 20-inch staggered-width wheels and tires are added, the dashboard gets wrapped in leather, the seats receive 16-way power adjusters, and the steering wheel is heated. A Premium Sound Package adds a 525-watt amplifier and Dolby surround sound with Sirius satellite radio. An Advanced Technology Package adds adaptive cruise control and active front lighting. The XKR can be made even more opulent. Owners select from either aluminum or three wood trims to begin with. To take the XKR to a new level, a new Portfolio Package is available with either engine-spun aluminum or satin walnut themes and includes, among other goodies, 20-inch staggered-width wheels and tires with a new high-performance braking system, a 525-watt sound system with Bowers & Wilkins speakers, Sirius satellite radio, soft grain leather seating, and aluminum side vents. The convertible soft top operates via a single button and neatly stows under aluminum tonneau cover. It also features a heated glass rear window. When the top is down the occupants are protected in the event of a rollover by roll bars that pop up behind the seats.

2009 Jaguar XKR-S: the fastest production XK to date
Along with the 2009 Jaguar XKR Portfolio, Jaguar announced the fastest production XK to date, the XKR-S. Built on a highly-advanced lightweight aluminum body architecture, the Jaguar XKR-S is powered by the same 420hp 4.2 liter V8 supercharged engine found in the XKR.

However, the engine has been recalibrated allowing the XKR-S to reach a top speed of 174mph, 19mph faster than the XKR. This additional boost performance is made possible by improved aerodynamics and a unique suspension set-up. The engine is mated with the XKR’s six-speed sequential automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifts.
